Miss Otter can keep a conversation going like few folks can—topics come and go quickly, new and exciting perspectives are introduced regularly. She also seems to keep good company, judging from her drinking companions. Its like people stop wanting to meet new people when they finish school.
I imagine that pretty much reinforces those ‘greek institution’ stereotypes, eh?

I’ve noticed a fair number of things about meeting new people. Out of school, you really do meet fewer. A long term relationship is also a gender divider. You are more likely to meet people who feel they have a chance with you sexually, even if you never broach the topic in real life. Once you are in a relationship, other same gender, people come out of th woodwork.
You meet many new people whenever you move, then it tapers off. Same with work. But you never hit the numbers you do as an undergrad.
