How I met why
I met why at one of the Seattle Ruby Conference. I remember asking if “why” was his real name and he said yes, but the “the lucky stiff” was a nickname given to him by his sister.

At Railsconf we asked him if he had a drivers license that said “why” on it. He was about to pull out his wallet, but then he stopped and said that he couldn’t ruin the magic. I guess a lot of people are inspired by the magic that is _why; it helps them get through their day, so I wouldn’t want to ruin that for people.
