Amy visited St. Louis when she was here for the National Conference for Media Reform. She spoke at the conference on a panel or two, but also at a local church that often hosts local authors. I went to see Amy speak. She was, of course, amazing in her talk.

Afterward, I bought one of her books (Left Bank Books was the sponsor of her speaking engagement) and she signed it. I got my picture taken with her too. She looked very, very tired (and was – this was her last leg for her speaking tour). She was very nice and humble.
