When I was writing for New Riders, one of the books that they sent me as a sample was Pat’s book on Linux Networking.

I didn’t meet Pat until a few years later – but heck if I remember where we were.

We first met (in person at least) at OSCon 2003. And have managed to catch each other occasionally since then. :)
