My year in review
Well so far this year:
- Fulfilled a medium-sized goal by going to NYC. where I really want to go cost more and I figured why not NYC? I loved it and I intend to go back
- Learned more about myself. I have so many sides!
- Saved money for a downpayment on a house. Got my family involved and now we’re building a house! yay! God is good
- Quit a job that was depressing me, climbed out of a dark place, found a new job and went shoe shopping to celebrate!
- Bought the Sex and City DVD collection. This is not a goal but it’s helped me pass many boring hours watching these crazy/sexy/dumb/shallow ladies waddle their way through what they consider life and love.. I hope that’s not what NYC does to a person
- Listened to a lot of audiobooks. Read a lot of internet gossip and generally been less stressed than in 2005.
- Filed my taxes after a long ‘hiatus’ from doing so. I am anti-establishment. ( But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to own a Nike or a CocaCola one day ) Anyway doing so, I happily pocketed a sizeable refund. Some shoes in my closet are courtesy of the gov’t and I for one consider it money well spent ( except for the pink suede steve maddens I tossed a month ago. )
All this and it’s only July…
