A story about ChiKa_US
Ellis Island.
We were all immigrants once, Poland, Ireland, Russia, Prussia, Mexico, we escaped, left it all behind, but brought a little in our hearts.
Hardship and suffering are behind us, blue skies and crunchy peanut butter ahead.
We came to a land with their freezers full and they opened their arms to us. We built their bridges and homes, their hotels and skyscrapers. They gave us money and the rope to hang ourselves.
Some stood and roared some folded or wept, this is a land of the strong for the strong.
Lakeshore Drive, West Paces Ferry, Beverly Hills, built with our sweat and tears. Well open your doors and step back a pace, we are one and we are saving and investing, buying up the land.
Step back America and know that the proud immigrants who laid those cornerstones and placed those keystones are taking their rightful place in the world.
