I’ve been a huge Madonna fan her entire career, growing up a punk surrounded by other punks this was always a bit strange…but anyway.

Sometime during the mid-90’s I tried to set up a local show with about six bands all playing covers of Madonna songs. Only one band learned the songs, the show was cancelled and I sort of forgot about the whole thing.

Then about five years ago a friend that was managing and booking a venue asked if there were any shows I’d like to do. Immediately I said yes, madonnaRama! That year on Valentine’s Day the first madonnaRama was held. It went over pretty good and four more happened the next four Valentine’s Days (though to be honest, the last one sucked).

Okay, that really has nothing to do with why I want to meet her. I’ve just always liked her, so it would be cool to meet her.
