My year in review

This year has been very eventful. I experienced my senior year of high school. Most of the time was spent searching for whatever kind of scholarship that I could get my hands on because I didn’t get the millennium scholarship. However I did meet one of my best friends this year at school. I wasn’t expecting that because most people already had an established clique by their senior year. Luckily I clicked with a girl who had transferred in during the second semester.
It was nice to have a close friend to graduate with. We had a party at a hotel for our graduation and it was a lot of fun. Shortly after that my friend and I had gotten an amazing job together at a gothic fetish clothing store. We loved it; it was my favorite job by far.
In June I’d gotten an offer to move out of my house so I took that offer up and moved out. The deal was that I would help the guy promote his band. I had fun doing that for a little bit.
The weekend I moved into my new house I took a vacation to Venice Beach to go to EDC. It’s been a tradition of mine for the past three years. I went with my friend Tony and Amelia. We had such an amazing time. Every spec of it was perfect. The drum circle on venice beach was my favorite part of the whole trip. I’ve never been surrounded by so many hippies. I felt like I bellonged there dancing on that beach. I must go back to visit again as soon as possible.
When I’d returned to Las Vegas my room mate was visiting Seatle so I spent the first two weeks in the house mostly by myself. It was a good chance for me to gain some independence and learn to rely on myself a bit more. I loved that time because I spent it reflecting on my life. It was nice to get away from home and everyone for a little bit. I could think for myself without any distractions.
I ended up getting into this summer program called PASS. They paid me to take summer sessions at UNLV so that was a great chance. It was a really good program because they took the summer that I had before I was scheduled to start school at CSN and put me in a class that was meant to prepare me for college. This has helped me ease into the transition from high school to college. The program ended and I got an A so I was happy.
While I was living at my new house I ended up getting robbed at gun point on my way to the bus stop to go to school. My room mate was mad at me for losing the key. I was trying to keep the news from my mom because she would worry way too much. A friend ended up disobeying my wishes and told my mom what had happened to me. My mom ended up telling my grandpa who just helped me to buy a car. We split the expenses and I ended up getting an amazing car for moving back into my parents house.
I had two weeks off after graduating from my program and now I’m going to three different campuses. I’m taking my psychology class at UNLV and me and Amanda are taking a sociology class together at the charleston campus; I’m also taking an anthropology at the charleston campus and I’m taking my english 101 class at the cheyenne campus. My first day was on friday and I ended up getting an awesome friend from high school in that class so everything’s been working out great. I hope I do good in shcool!
