I first met Vigdís when she visited our camp at the 1996 national scout jamboree. She spoke a little with us and I had my picture taken with her. I had great respect for her so I was quite proud to have met her – which made it that much worse when I found out the girl I had asked to take a picture of me with her had put her finger over the lens when she took it!
