Why I admire Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Hemingway was wrong in almost everything he did, from a politically correct viewpoint. But he had a lust for life and a personal vitality that infected everyone around him. Vain, selfish, arrogant, he was also brave, loyal, and generous. He was macho, even for his time, and lived like he was permanently on vacation, doing what he wanted, when he wanted. He let no opportunity be wasted, living like he was in a race with life, which of course he was. I admire him because I too would like to live a life without apology or regret.

If you’re a fan, you should hit up Oak Park, IL.
its packed to the gills with Hemmingway stuff, its got a museum, several of his childhood homes. I grew up there so all we did was hear about him and Frank Lloyd Wright!
