Dr Laura began a foundation TRULY worthy of note: “My Stuff Bag” a bag of things put together for children who have suffered the trauma of abuse and displacement; these kids have often lost all their possessions in a fire flood or other disaster, natural or domestic. When they are shuffled from the police to social services to one foster care facility after another, they have something to call their own, to comfort them and ever so slightly diminish the trauma.
No matter how one feels about Dr Laura, past or present (and both are colorful, I assure you!) her work for the children is above reproach
