A story about David Suzuki
I am a lesbian, but if i wasn’t . . .
hahah
scientist, ecologist, documentary filmmaker, the nature of things, one of the greatest canadians ever
Nothing i can that hasn’t already been said by others. What a great human being, i’ve seen him in a few interviews, conferences, the way he came across shows that he’s articulate and knows what he’s talking about. I’d like to meet him one day and ask him what his views are on different issues.
He has dedicated his time, energy and life to helping give a voice to the planet by trying to educate us about the environment. His name is synonymous with environmental sustainability and in many ways he has made environmentalism cool and interesting. I commend him for all of his efforts…I hope we make it Mr. Suzuki…I’m trying too.
I’ve seen him in Interviews and love his important views and respect all the work he has done
“The Wisdom of the Elders” one of his co-authored books, is simply inspirational, as is he.
I have met him… my copy of the book (above) was autographed personally by him at Dymocks, in Sydney, a long time ago. I qued up for my entire lunch hour, and got back to work late. It was well worth the effort.
He smiled at me, I smiled back, our souls touched,
our “Gods” met.
I have known his soul for a long, long time.
What a wonderful human being.
We are blessed to have this soul in our midst at this point in time.
I would like to meet him again, and interview him for the Global Climate Change Action Group Website … I would love to be able to use his direct “quotes”. He is in Cairns (Australia) in September… you never know!
:-)
I met David Suzuki during the period when we were both involved with the Vancouver based environmental group Leadership Initiative for Earth.
I have actually had the good fortune to meet David Suzuki on one occasion, when he spoke at a local theatre while on tour for his book ‘Tree’.
I feel very strongly about the state of our environment and the we as a global community are taking it greatly concerns me. Often I feel that it is hopeless and nothing we can do with turn back the tide, but hearing Mr. Suzuki talk was like a ray of sunshine. He filled me with such hope that I know without doubt we can bring about a great change on this earth.
I admire how outspoken he is!
Interviewer: You might remember me from XYZ, we met there for the first time
Suzuki: Oh yeah? Well you white people all look alike to me
Interviewer: ha ha (.........)
Cuz he might be able to help me get ideas for my PhD. He does what I love to do, care for the environment.
