Why I admire Jack Black
because of the “School of Rock”!
it really rocks..\m/
and i also admire him because of his fucking good song especially “Fuck Her Gently”... ahehehe..^^
Jack Black, born in Santa Monica, California, and attended the University of California at Los Angeles. At UCLA, he was a member of Tim Robbins’ acting troupe and it was this collaboration that led to his 1992 film debut in Bob Roberts (1992). Although he was just a background voice in his first film, Jack’s appearances in such television shows as “The X Files” (1993), his breakthrough performance in High Fidelity (2000), and his rock/comedy band, “Tenacious D”, have created an ever growing cult following.

I met him at the Burbank airport. My mom and i were standing in line and everyone was like is that Jack Black? and for sure it was. He was with some blonde lady and he kept denying he was Jack Black. He was being a real jerk about it I remember and was like yelling about it. Sheesh!
This is the story of “The Man that Wanted to be Left Alone.”
It was at the San Diego Comic Convention. It gets crowded at Con. Con is not exactly a comic book nerd convention. Celebrities, stars, and such use the Con as an excuse to promote their movies, books, whatnot. It’s just San Diego’s excuse to become Hollywood for a day.
No more than a few moments after I was done hanging out with Rob Van Dam. There was a big crowd. In a sudden rush, there was a stampede worth of people in my way.
I asked someone what was going on. There’s always a crowd at Con. But the pack of a hundred people running in the same direction was strange. Was it a fight? Was it a contest? Why are all these people running in the same place? Was it a fire?
“Someone famous is over there!” said the person.
“Um… thanks.”, I muttered. Duh. This is Con. There are famous people all over the building.
I pushed and shoved past the mob for five minutes to see what the deal was. And when I got past the people, a group of nerds crowded around one man.
I stood behind the smelly nerds to find one man. Not only was he familiar. He was irritated and visibly angry.
It was Jack Black of Tenacious D and “School of Rock” fame.
He was walking in some general direction, and this mob of people in the hundreds were following him with cameras and autographs. Some of them very invasive of his personal space. One of them asked for his autograph, and I could see Jack ready to rip his head off.
I said something to Jack, and I can’t remember what it was. But he was so fed up with the people, he tuned it out.
I figure it was better to leave him alone. Interesting enough that I was arms-length distance away from the guy. But I’ve never seen someone so mad in my life.
Poor Jack.
I met him at a Tenacious D concert. He was a very nice friendly guy. A lot shorter than I thought he’d be. :)
He’s so funny and cute and round. I would have his baby. One way to meet him might be to attend a tenacious D concert… ahmmm!
Actually, I “met” Jack Black about five or so years ago at a CD signing at the virgin Megastore. I had him autograph my boob and he said I was a “groovy chick.”
I would like to meet him in a context where I’m not waiting in line to do it, though.
Jack Black is in New Zealand with his band Tenacious D right now. He spotted some 10 and 11 year old buskers and asked them to open for him in concert. They did and they rocked! Jack Black gave those boys a fantastic opportunity and from it they are known nationwide and have gained a recording contract. Jack Black is an awesome man and performer. I named my cat after him. not sure what he’d think of that but he’s a VERY cool cat!
