Viggo Mortensen (placeholder)

Born in New York (20th October, 1958) to a Danish father and an American mother, Mortensen spent the early part of his childhood in Manhattan. His family traveled a great deal and he spent several years living in Venezuela, Argentina and Denmark. He began acting in New York, studying with Warren Robertson. He appeared in several plays and movies, and eventually moved to Los Angeles, where his performance in “Bent” at the Coast Playhouse earned him a Drama-logue Critic’s Award. Mortensen is also an accomplished poet, photographer and painter. Eventually, the success of Lord of the Rings made him a household name – a difficult consequence for the ever private and introspective Viggo.

A story about Viggo Mortensen

When i think about viggo i’m calm and inspired. there’s so much that i want to do ..i want to write and i want to paint again. My daughters don’t give me much time to do that stuff. I love to meet him..his voice alone can just calm and destress my world. I am going to try to find time for a childrens book though – my daughter gave me the idea and i’ll use her thoughts for the book..the handicapp children where getting on a bus at her school – she was 4(preschool) she called them the broken people…i explained they were not broken ..just different..like we are all different from each other. Inspiration to do more with my life from Viggo – love to meet him!

The real reason I want to meet Viggo Mortensen

Even though I’m certain I’d have to overcome an array of inferiority issues with Viggo, I wanted to meet him the moment I learned that he purchased several of the horses (including the cart pony) from LOTR. I admire his private nature, passion for literature and art, and love of the countryside where he keeps his horses. I wonder if he is kind. I imagine I would find out quickly once I see him ride, especially on a cold day when one of the horses is feeling zippy…

Why I want to meet Viggo Mortensen

Why do I want to meet Viggo Mortensen? (sigh) Well ok, one, he’s drop dead gorgeous. Two, he’s passionate. Three, he’s smart. I have to admit, I watched Lord of the Rings and didn’t feel much for Viggo, but then I watched the special features where he talked about what the book meant and how it applies to us today and then of course he had the pinkish color hair with the shirt against the war and I was just sold.
And four, I love his voice,

Why I admire Viggo Mortensen

Because I’m damn envious…I don’t exactly know much about his career as actor, but I’ve seen some of his photos in a magazine…and I’m envious(I can’t really say I admire him, because I’m a bit competitive and I feel more “I want to cut both his hands” than “I want to be like him”...but anyway-_-)

Why I admire Viggo Mortensen

In popular opinion, the pleasure in meeting multi-talented people seems limited to celebrities or movie stars. In reality, the pleasure in meeting multi-talented people happens every day—we just don’t notice it. Viggo Mortensen seems like the kind of person who knows that… who realizes that fame doesn’t increase those talents. Of course that is my assumption. But I am interested in meeting the poet, photographer and mostly the publisher. If not for that he would be just another pretty face with great acting chops.

Why I admire Viggo Mortensen

He’s got the sort of confidence in his talent and determination to succeed I wish I had. He’s an excellent writer and clear thinker. I especially admire how he’s kept his perspective and hung on to his priorities in spite of all the popular attention. He’s cute although a bit thinner than he needs to be, but then most thesbians are. Whenever I think about how hard it is to be me I think of artists like Viggo and how good they are at managing their extraordinary lives.

Sometimes those things closest are
hardest to describe.
I feel a kindred spirit, known deep
within. There is a connection.
Stranger things have happened in this
world than this.

Read…a comment under name and information about self. I quit the job that didn’t suit me and am now following my heart…something that I believe you would approve of…I hope that I do run across your path someday…
My art work is starting to sell little by litte and I have finished my first novel; first of a series of a set of three and book of poetry as well. Do you know how hard it is to find an agent or editor to read what you’ve written when you’re a first time writer? Jeeeeeeez!!!!!! But I won’t give up. I’ll follow your example and always give it my best shot! Thanks for setting such a good example. It’s even harder for a woman to keep her head up in this environment, but I’m going to do it! Hope that the poem that I wrote to you; as quirky as it is…catches your eye. If not you personally…maybe someone you know will see it on this site and tell you of the mental woman that wants to meet you and wrote you a far out poem! :) Heres hoping! Leslie In Chester Va…still in Richmond area, but I moved to save on expenses until art work and writing pan out. Gambling on myself…Taking a leap of faith
They keep our e-mail addresses on file here, you know!! :) Here’s hoping!

A story about Viggo Mortensen

I think he’s one of the best actors in the Lord of the Rings… When I see him I believe that he is Aragorn himself. This character is close for me. I also love wandering forests…I love wild nature
