A story about Peter Gabriel
The way he has interacted and supported musicians from all over the world is so great. In memory also of Nusrat Ali Fateh Khan.

waited around maple leaf gardens (toronto) for the afternoon soundcheck and luckily enough said hello. must have been 1978?
peter gabriel really speaks in his music. i find myself feeling the emotion and compassion,...it often brings me to tears
His songs are so woundingly beautiful. The first time I heard “Secret World”, I kept playing it over and over again. I’d like to thank him personally for songs “Biko”, “Blood of Eden”, “I Don’t Remember”, “Digging in the Dirt”, “The Barry Williams Show”, “Games Without Frontiers” & “Don’t Give Up”(duet w/Kate Bush).
I have been a fan of his work since “Selling England by the Pound”, and have kept up with his music and world music work for decades. He is a true musical visionary, and I also happen to fancy myself in similar garb.
I’d also like to talk about Gurdjieff, Bennett, Fripp, and the coming ice age.
He is so unbelievably cool, inspiring, thoughtful and talented. How about it Pete, got time for a beer?
What do you feel is the future of music in America and music in the world?
Another cool Peter Gabriel cache I just found, if you enjoy his music videos… is on his website, which are promos for his DVD Play.
My favorites are Sledgehammer (Who didn’t love this video?), Big Time, Shock the Monkey, and Steam. The Barry Williams Show is also rather amusing.
