A story about David Copperfield
Have met David of several occasion. Most notably, when we watched the taping of his Tornado of Fire special after which we met backstage for an interview. An article on the event was published in Magic Magazine.

I met him when I was 12 after one of his performances in my hometown. He acted like he wasn’t even in the same room as his fans. Looked over and past everyone like they weren’t even there.
As postcard said, he’s a humongous a-hole. My brother and I “met” him in a restaurant in Brazil, we asked him for an autograph (no, he wasn’t eating, so we weren’t really bothering him) and he didn’t even LOOK at us, he just half-assedly scribbled a NOTHING onto our piece of paper without stopping, and kept walking with his nose in the air. Needless to say, my brother immediately threw the paper away and we stopped being fans since. If you can’t even be halfway decent to a pair of kids (we were 13 and 10 at the time) then screw you, I say.
I saw his show last week. Besides being a great illusionist, he is also a great actor and comedian. I love how he says ‘Cool’. I love how the ladies swoon over him, giving him kisses when they leave the stage. Now I know what a New Yorker sounds like.
I went to see him when I was about 18 and he performed a pretty good show. For his final trick he “appeared” next to my seat on his Harley. I have to be honest…..I didn’t see how he traded places with his double on stage…..but I did see how he got to the motorcycle before people knew he was even missing from the stage. That was kind of cool. After the show I got to go meet him and talk to him. Very quiet but nice. Had a lot more grey hair than I thought he would. He also had very nice long fingers…..like a piano player.
It was a fun night out.
