How I met Mario Lopez
It was the summer of my fourteenth year, and the moment was simple enough. My sister and I were eating in the same restaurant as he was. I casually asked my sister if she’d ever seen “Saved By The Bell”, she said she hadn’t. So, I played it cool. Finally I spilled my secret love for the man sitting two booths down from us, and my sister forced me to ask him for his autograph. I’m pretty sure I didn’t actually say anything, just held out my napkin. He asked me my name, and smiled at me with those big adorable dimples. I could have died. “Nice to meet you Abby,” he said. I probably just stared at him. But I still keep that napkin “To Abby, With Love Mario,” as a momento of the only moment in my life when I was starstruck.
How I met Mario Lopez
I was about 11-12 years old and just getting over my love for Saved By The Bell. Mario Lopez was promoting a movie he did with our city’s pride and joy, Mark Ruffalo. There was a meet & greet sort of thing at Woodman’s Market.
