Steve Carell is hilarious in all that he does, but especially in The Office (NBC Edition), he tends to make the audience feel so bad for him! I know I do! If I met him, I’d just want to give him a hug and say everything is okay! That’s how believeable his character, Michael Scott, is!
:]
steve carell is funny. thats a given, but he’s also so normal… just like a guy that you would meet anywhere. i love how down to earth he seems. it may all be an act, and if it is, I am amused.
I admit, I’ve never seen “40 Year Old Virgin” (nor do I ever really plan to) and have only watched “The Office” a handful of times, sometimes laughing and sometimes…not. So, I bet you’re wondering “Why on earth does this chick even care about Steve?”
The answer: He gave what was simply THE best and most hysterical acceptance speech for any award I have ever heard at the Golden Globes this year. It was real, it was funny, it was down to earth, showed a genuine-ness usuaslly lost on the Hollywood types and was completely unphony or stuffed with references to “all the little people”. I really just want to thank him for taking an entirely unfunny day—and fairly tedious awards show—and making it better with a hillarious evening and a truly defining…well, speech.
(Believe me, I was still laughing the next day. Kinda pathetic, I know. :P)
