A story about Leonard Cohen
A great poet!
To love you
is to live
my ideal diary
Which I have
promised my body
I will never write!

To thank him for his music. 10 New Songs is as close to hymns of praise that I get to these days; I listen to it when I want to “go to church.” And maybe to kiss him on the lips, if he doesn’t object.
Here is a man who has great depth of feeling, a man who has already been there and done it, told you about it too.
Above all else Leonard is a man of words, words that are written and posed in just the right way so as to make you think, and feel, part of what is going on in his life. He is also calm and serene, through this he conveys great strength and composure, a God like presence fills my mind when I listen to him.
I feel very close to him when reading, or listening, to his work.
I admire they way he can write words into the form he wishes to convey to us, the way he is deliberate in his speech so as not to waste any words, or time.
He is not perfect by any means, but his life has been one of devotion to his craft and art. He has taken great steps to achieve his standing in music, to let others share what he holds within himself.
I admire him for having the patience to practise his Buddihst beliefs, and for being able to become part of their world.
For my tribute to him I would simply like to meet him, to say thank you for what he has given me through his work. The world owes Leonard Cohen a great debt, but it will never be given, or received I fear.
So I could give him tea and oranges that came all the way from China.
Hello ;
Why I want to meet Leonard Cohen?
My dreams! I dream and someone tell me that I have to meet Leonard Cohen.
I believe in my dreams and there is always something behind each of them.
There is a feeling which tell me that I have to meet him and see what is next?
There is something behind these dreams and our meeting…
I hope to get the chance to meet him.
Regards
My friend T lived in the same neighbourhood as Leonard’s place in Montreal until recently and ran into him a couple of times. T is a huge fan and couldn’t believe it when Leonard walked into the bagel place where he was eating breakfast on his birthday. T went over and shook his hand and thanked him for his songs and poetry. T said Leonard was humble and gracious and looked amazing for being like 70 years old!
I’m still waiting for my chance:)
I passed him in the street a few weeks ago. Imagine spending twenty-seven years in the same city without having passed by one of it’s most important (part-time) residents!
I wonder if this counts as having met him…
The love the dreams the inspired fantasies of my nods…he is a master of the soul.
