Why I admire Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman, hero of heroes. My childhood library had a copy of her biography that I wore out with repeated readings. If the library was still in that building I could take you to the shelf in the stacks where her inspirational story pulled me back like the earth being kept in orbit around the sun. My hero-worship for Harriet Tubman began early and has never waned. Her grit, creativity and determination… I don’t feel worthy to describe her.
