Billy Connolly (placeholder)

So I can laugh so hard that all the world’s fears and insecurities vanish into oblivion and all that is left is a pain in the ribs and the jaw.

When I was taking broadcasting classes at a junior college, I came across his Royal Albert Hall recording. It was the funniest, crudest album I’ve ever heard. Eventually, I was able to find a copy of it on CD at the Virgin Megastore in San Francisco.

I wish I could say that I’ve met him, but I’ve never had the privilege. Still, he’s got two things going for him: he’s funny and he’s Scottish. Those are both big plusses in my book.

I watched him on TV and in various comedies as a kid, and then didn’t see him for years. The other day I watched Boondock Saints and there he was. The following day I took my son to see “Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties” and there he was again! What a hilarious contrast. :)

because the special he did with Whoopi Goldberg, years ago still makes me laugh so hard I almost crap myself!

Billy Connolly is someone I’d be terrified to meet – he’s such a fantastic wit. One gets the impression that if he takes a shine to you then you’re friends for life, but if he doesn’t like you….

I simply wouldn’t know what to say!

An incredibly funny man with a huge talent.

I think I would be terrified to meet him but hes just so funny, how could you not want to meet him! Perfect scenario, he could show me & my family around New Zealand!

He’s cobbled together an brilliant act. I have to be honest, some of his stuff is right out of pub chat, but his moments of genuine brilliance shine through brighter than a lot of comics.

Everytime I’m in a restaurant now, I think “potato of the night”. I just love him.

I admire Billy Connolly because he’s so bloody funny, and he manages to be so while getting along with everyone in the entire world!
