Mori Kiyoharu 森清治

Born 10-30-1968 in Gifu.

Kiyoharu is now working on his solo career, that began in mid 2003 after the breakup of the post-punk japanese band he was in SADS, his solo sound is very different from SADS and more bluesy or jazzy.

Even before SADS though Kiyoharu was a part of the band Kuroyume (黒夢)that began in Nagoya during May of 1991 until 1998, Kuroyume was a visual kei band that is credited with influencing many of the visual kei bands during that time period. It is also true that Kyo of the band Dir En Grey was formerly a roadie for Kuroyume, and cites Kiyoharu as an influence for his music.

Why I want to meet Mori Kiyoharu 森清治

I first got into Kiyoharu when I started reading the manga, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. He is coincidently, one of the author/artist’s favorite musicians. Tomoko Hayakawa mentions him a lot in her cute little notes! In fact in Manga Volume #9 she finally MEETS him face to face,(She’s so happy she almosts bursts into tears.), and totally fangirl spazzes out, muttering, sweaty, faint feeling, I love Tomoko Hayakawa, I believe she is my mentor, and my mentor loves Kiyoharu-sempai as much as I do.
He is very talented and I especially like his music since he became solo! I love the songs Slow and Emily. I’m hoping to buy his CD singles if I ever get a chance..Maybe while I’m in Japan I’ll look out for his CD. =D
