Why I admire Daniel Quinn
I love the way his mind works.
Quinn received an extensive education at three different universities: Saint Louis University, University of Vienna, Austria, and Loyola University. He abandoned a career as a publisher in 1975 to become a freelance writer. Quinn is best known for his book Ishmael, which won the Turner Tomorrow Fellowship Award in 1991. This fellowship was established to encourage authors to seek “creative and positive solutions to global problems.” Ishmael is the first of a trilogy including The Story of B and My Ishmael
from Wiki
Daniel Quinn is a good spirit with an amazing ability to clearly write about the ailments of our world, how things got this way and yet provide an open door for us to come together to change things for the better. If you have not read any of his books, such as Ishmael, My Ishmael, The Story of B, The Holy; I would strongly recommend that you do so. Through his books, he has helped me in how I look at the world and helped me to clarify exactly how I want the world to look.
He’s a genius. The world needs more men like Daniel Quinn. I’d like to have a conversation with him. After which, I presume I’d have a lot to think about.
