I was one of the fortunate few who got to see Kurzweil and Moog trot out their new product, The Kurzweil, at MIT lo those many years ago. (‘83 I believe.) I still get horripilations when I recall how amazing the sound. And the work involved.
I have been a Kurzweil ever since I could afford one.
Back in the early 1980s a friend and I had the opportunity to use an early Kurzweil Reading Machine.
It was klunky, but prototyped many things to come.
Cause if, by the time I have some way to meet him, he’s still alive…then he was right.
