A story about gene wilder
Met him when I was working in an art supply store. Was a little weird but still nice.

I can name a few reasons why I admire Gene a lot… One, his face. His face just looks so sweet and innocent, so pure. It’s very refreshing to look at. And I can tell by recent pictures of him that it doesn’t fade with age… Two, his voice. I love his voice. It’s just, I don’t even know how to describe it, far too great for words… Three, his eyes and hair. I LOVE his bright blue eyes and curly hair.. I’m very attracted to a guy with curly hair and blue or green eyes.. But man, even the guys I have seen with blue eyes aren’t as bright as his! Whew! Gilda was a very lucky woman.. And his current wife is too… Anyway, last but not least, I know Gene himself doesn’t think so, but he is extremely funny!... Was that enough reasons why I admire Gene Wilder? I think so.
I met Mr Wilder at a book signing in London where he autographed a copy of his autobiography for me.
He’s a very sweet and amazingly funny human being, and given that I’ve loved his movies for most of my life, it was an honour to meet him.
I’m going to his book discussion on The French Whore next week in DC. Nice living in a place where I can do that.
I watched “Blazing Saddles” with my cousins during Thanksgiving break this year and I can’t get over how talented and FUNNY he is!
When I was about five years old, I was watching “Young Frankenstein” with my cousins and one of them, Tom, said “This movie is hilarious!” I didn’t know what hilarious meant before that, but I am happy I learned by watching Gene Wilder.
I met Gene walking down the street of NYC with my trip group. He was walking into the (I think) david letterman show to talk about his new book. It was hard to get his autograph and picture with so many people around him ( a tour group bus saw and stopped, so there were a lot of people…). I love his movies and it was awesome seeing him.
I’ve met Gene Wilder twice. Once when I was an extra in one of his movies. He came out to hang out with the extras during a break – we were in 1930’s clothes, on a main street and we watched people walk by and covertly look us all over in case there was anyone famous. The double takes were hilarious.
Then I met him when he was promoting his book. He and his wife are very nice.
He is a master.
Be sure to see him in Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex and The Little Prince. (He plays a man in love with a sheep in the former.)
