Why I want to meet Jack Kerouac
I admire his freedom and spirit towards life.
a great fan of the beat movement, id love to hear his side of how it all began….
you’re just not in this world when you read it…One my friend loves his books too. We often read them together and discuss
I don’t know where to start. His writing just blows me away—it’s no wonder Hunter S. Thompson and other writers were inspired by him, his books are life-changing.
He changed my life
he changed my writing
he changed my views
he changed me.
very interested to debunk my myths of how epic he really was. when it all comes down to it, i wouldn’t want to go out the way he did. when it comes down to it, life after on the road seemed like it wasn’t too chipper.
yet, his style, his simple living, his expression of it… i was drawn years ago.
i haven’t read all his books (its one of my goals), i want to go to lowell to see his site, i want to be flowing like his prose.
Where do I start? I’m stalking him anyway, having read all his books, visited his house in San Francisco, his birthplace and grave in Lowell. Would love to have a drink with him.
