Always liked Garth Brooks, handsome man, His music is bomb.. and he has my last name.. I joke hes my husband.. but he doesnt know it Yet.. :) We dont have to change our last name now do we..lol .
He’s Garth. I love his music and listen to him 24/7, I’m listening to him right now!(We Bury the Hatchet, In lonesome Dove) He’s on the to of my “want to meet list” and will stay there until I meet him!
GARTH BROOKS RULES!!!
Garth is one of the coolest singers in the world. He can get anyone interested in what he has to say or his music. He can be quiet at one minute and then loud and wild at the next. He has such a neat way of singing a song that gets you into the beat and tune of it. If you’ve heard the Double Live disc you can here how wild the crowd gets, need I say more?
It’s funny how sometimes I end up meeting people I never intended to meet. I was at the gala opening of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville when I happened to find myself standing next to Garth Brooks. I didn’t have anything interesting to say, so I just asked him what he thought of the concert. He said it was “Amazing.”
Back in the 80’s/early 90’s my dad used to own a country music theatre called the KC Opry. His theatre was one of the first shows that Garth Brooks played that was not in a bar/club.
At the time he performed for us I was only about 1 1/2 years old. However, on his last big tour for the cd, Fresh Horses, we got to go backstage and hang out with him. He is such a great, down-to-earth guy. He had his brother, Kelly, come out to us and give us several big bags full of merch and really good tickets to all 4 of the concerts he was having here in Kansas City. He even said hello to my dad during the show. It was definitely something I will never forget.
Also, if you listen to the song “The Old Stuff” from his Fresh Horses cd you can hear him say, ”...hats off to the KC Opry…”
It’s pretty nifty.
I just love his songs, to me he’s the number one country singer of all time. i wish he could get back to singing someday. It’s a dream to meet this legend one day ! :D
