Dnagling Participles:
”I saw the Grand Canyon driving through Arizona, contains an example of a dangling participle in English. Actually, we know what this means: that I saw it while I was driving because the grammatically correct alternative, that the Grand Canyon was driving, is absurd or the result of too much sampling of the local hallucinogens.”
The quirkest quote I can’t find – it related to psychelic mushrooms somehow.
But this one’s always been a favorite of mine:
