A story about Jim Henson
He’s my hero. hehe.
The creator of The Muppets and one of the most important puppeteers in modern American television history. He was also a filmmaker, television producer, and the founder of The Jim Henson Company, the Jim Henson Foundation, and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
I once read about a Native American legend that said when a respected elder died, the next baby to be born was said to carry on the spirit of that person.
which could possibly have been distorted by my memory, because i read that a long time ago and may not be remembering the details accurately.
even so, this is an interesting coincidence:
I was born exactly one minute after Jim Henson died, at 1:00 am on May 16, 1990.
i’ve always felt an affinity with him because of that fact
and it would be unspeakably cool
(although impossible, i know)
to meet him and see if we have some kind of spiritual connection.
lol. i’m not usually superstitious, please don’t send me hate mail.
He’s a visionary. And extremely creative, and good natured. I just think he’s a really cool guy.
b/c he gave me my first sparks of creativity, and i wish he were alive so i could thank him for that.
Because he was a funny guy, who never equated being an adult with growing up and putting away childish things. We should all be like him.
He is one of my greatest heros. He made my childhood worth living.
I love him more than a lot of things in life. He must have known what a difference he made in everyones lives before he passed.
I can wait til i see him in Heaven. Then i’ll give him a big hug for making the greatest children programs.
