In the early 1980s I was the news director of an FM music station in New England. A young woman applied for an entry-level job as a newscaster, and I could tell she was very intelligent and probably well-qualified as a journalist. But she had an accent that I felt would not go over well with our rather parochial audience.

I admire Christiane immensely. She travels all over the world reporting the suffering of people. She is intelligent, a Mother, a Wife and her compassion shows in the way she tells her stories.
The sheer amount if experience and wisdom that this woman could share is staggering. Outspoken, honest, clear, blunt, convicted in her pursuit of truth…
