Former Peruvian president / dictator who escaped corruption and murder charges by fleeing to Japan and being granted citizenship there.

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP)—Former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori was arrested Monday in Chile on charges at home involving corruption and massacres
He was attempting to return to Peru to run for re-election after five years as a protected exile in Japan.
I actually haven’t met HIM, but I spent some time with his daughter, Keiko. I was in the Peruvian “White House” (on special inviation as part of the YFU group) and she hosted our luncheon. I’m assuming she’s not as corrupt as her dad.
