Why I admire Oliver Sacks
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
Oliver Sacks is the Clinical Professor of Neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has written nine books, including The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat (1985), and Awakenings (1973) which was the inspiration for the 1990 movie of the same name. In 1996 he hosted a television series for BBC entitled The Mind Traveller. He is an enthusiastic student of nature (especially ferns) and an avid swimmer.
