How I met Muhammad Ali
fsdaafsdfasdfas
I met him 3 times in the 70’s, at the height of his career. He fought Bugner in KL, where I was living, on my 9th birthday. I got to meet both of them in their respective camps, and spent a couple of evenings with Ali’s family. Then I saw him by chance a couple of years later in Bombay airport and crawled through a huge crowd on my hands and knees to get his autograph on a napkin.
when I was three years old, my parents saw him at a mall of all places. and they went up to meet him, and he said I was “such a cute little girl” and he put me on his lap.
unfortunately, my parents were too poor to go buy a disposable camera, so I have no proof or recollection of this meeting.
but my parents said he was amazingly nice.
Because Im the greatest KnockOut Champ discovered yet. And Im sure he’d wanna meet the person thats gonna KnockOut his daughter on National TV!! ESPN Baby the worlds gonna see it! lol
I want Ali to knock me out. I’m not sure if he could anymore, but I’d sure ask him to try. Now that’s a story for the grandkids.
He is an icon, a great boxer and a great thinker who was ahead of his time. Meeting him would be a humbling experience.
He brought grace and wit to boxing, and a conscience and bravery to the people.
