A very sweet man. Met him at a book signing in Burlington, ON, years ago. He was stunned by the line-up to meet him, and seemingly even more surprised by how nice and patient everyone was. Looked, at the time, like anyone’s cute, nerdy Uncle Dave, or something.
Met him at a book signing in North Austin, TX. I had stayed up late the night before making him a necklace of some really odd funky black and red prayer beads I’d found. He liked it. I invited him home for lasagne, but he was leaving town, so he didn’t come over. heehee. Oh well.
Met him at a Fangoria Weekend of Horrors during the 90’s. He has a great sense of humor. During a signing, a fan came up to him who had a tattoo from Hellraiser or Nightbreed on his chest, can’t recall which, and Clive thought it was totally cool. He looked humbled that someone would do something like that. Great memory.
Met Clive at the Horror Writers Convention in Oregon back in the 90’s (i got a org. drawing autograph!). He is brilliant, funny and very nice! On my top 5 list of totally cool people on the planet!
