Liam Neeson (placeholder)

I just watched “Schindler’s List” and Liam Neeson brought so much to the story without distorting the role of Oskar Schindler in history.

If I don’t work in the movie industry, is there ever a chance of me meeting Liam Neeson?

I met Liam over a decade ago now. I was working for the BFTPA (a UK production membership thing for filmakers), at the time Liam was filming ‘The Big Man’ which I really enjoyed. He came into the office and wanted to say hello and thank everyone for their help and assistance in getting the film funded. He was really a big man, I remember having to lean back so I could look into his face while talking to him. Very soft spoken and very easy going.

I worked with Liam for a couple of days in Vancouver. I was the lowly coordinator @ the time and although we’d chatted about books we were reading and such, when he went to leave I wasn’t certain he’d say goodbye to me. (this is more about hollywood types and less about being the coordinator)

So I’m standing there in the studio and Liam shakes hands with all the men in the room. The audio engineer, Editor, Oscar award winning director, Producer, then he turns to me. Says my name and reaches out with his left hand. Now I have had some pretty weak handshakes before from famous powerful actors so I figure he’s gonna give me a wimpy wrong hand handshake. I reach out with my right hand. He takes my hand and pulls me closer. (not uncomofortably close though!) Kisses his hand and holds his kissed hand to my cheeck. My Knees went weak.

Best moment ever. :)

my mother had the opportunity to meet him in New Mexico and i was abundantly jealous of her luck… then, just six weeks later i met Colin Firth. (which, for me, was better) but i would still love to sit down and have a drink and talk to Liam…

He did an amazing job portraying Alfred Kinsey in the movie “Kinsey.” I was very impressed with the vulnerability that he brought to the character. I will watch any movie just because he’s in it. Admittedly, I’d probably lick his shoes if I ever met him.

Yes I’ve admired his work. But really, the man is just damn sexy.
