Tony Romo (placeholder)
Undrafted NFL starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys from Eastern Illinois.
Replaced Drew Bledsoe in 2006 season as starting quarterback. Lead team to a Wildcard berth, but lost to the Seattle Seahawks after botching a field goal snap. This would go on to haunt him for much time afterwards. Would go on to Pro Bowl later that year.
Led Cowboys to 13-3 record the next year, earning a first-round Bye and another Pro Bowl appearance. Broke the Dallas Cowboys’ franchise single season pass touchdown record, previously held by Danny White with 29, at 36 touchdowns. Lost second playoff game as starting quarterback in 2007 NFL Playoffs to the New York Giants 21-17, the eventual Super Bowl champions.
