A story about Eugene Hutz
Well I shook his hand after the Gogol Bordello gig last night… but I would very much like to have a conversation with him. This doesn’t count as “meeting”, I don’t think.

He’s the lead singer of Gogol Bordello and I’ve never seen anyone with as much energy, etc. as this guy. Would LOVE to meet him. Besides, my boyfriend looks an awful lot like him.

Why I like Eugene Hutz
Eugene Hutz is the most charismatic, open minded, and culturally diverse of ‘rock stars’. His recent performance at the Manchester Academy was a huge success, and showed the great diversity in Gogol’s totally original gypsy punk style. On stage, Eugene gives the most energetic and breathtaking performances. He seems completely at home in front of a mic and crowd and shows more vibrance and attitude than any other performer I have ever seen, on TV or live. Him and the rest of the band seem to welcome the hundreds of crowd surfers climbing on stage for their few seconds of glory. He treats the bands followers with utter respect and equality, as is unusual with the amount of self-loving shit heads who are scarring the face and meaning of music with their repetitive bollocks they wish to call ‘music’. I would suggest to any one wanting to find out about Eugenes views on the state of the music and the world today, to visit gogol’s myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/gogolbordello. You will see that Hutz has a deep, interesting mind, that i’m sure you will find as fascinating as I did.

How I met Eugene Hutz
I’ve met him at shows, got my photo taken with him, but then my friends and I ended up at an after party post Gogol Bordello show, and we all (including Hutz) ended up dancing and drinking and partying together.
Why I admire Eugene Hutz
Have you seen him surf a crowd with his shirt off, his gypsy hips wagging and his microphone held high? Well, I have and it’s a sight to behold. I’d love to actually meet him.
