Academy Award nominated director Don Hertzfeldt’s animated short films have collected over one hundred awards and an international cult following. His films have been featured at the Cannes Film Festival, Sundance, MTV, IFC, Bravo, Comedy Central, and in over a thousand theatrical venues around the world.
I lived across the street from Don in Goleta, CA for a bit. We met first at a screening of his. I love his films, he goes to my REM site. We bonded over the fact that we both were at the same REM promo gig in 2001, but never actually met.
His films are some of most amazing, funniest, fantastically irreverant contraptions I’ve ever seen. Highly recommended-
