Why I want to meet Alex Lifeson

I’ve supported Rush and Alex since 1976 with concerts tickets, albums (for the younger crowd this was a big black cd that could easily be scratched and/or warped from just listening to it to much) CD, Posters, T-shirts, ect…
I believe he is one of the best guitar players around. I would just like to know what he’s really like out side of Rush, as a person.
My wife says it will never happen and I would just like to make her wrong for once in my life! Lol!

A story about Alex Lifeson

Around 1978, I met Alex in a bowling alley that Rush had rented out after a concert in Minneapolis. My sister was a DJ so I was able to get into the private party. I walked up to Alex and told him how much I admired him and could he give me any advise. He told me to “never give up”. 28 years later I still play music and will till I die. I made Alex smile at me…Roll the Bones Tour, October 31, 1991, Indianapolis, Indiana, Market Square Arena (I have no idea what corporation it is named after now), 3rd row in front of Alex (sigh). Since it was Halloween, I wanted to dress up as something that went along with one of Rush’s album (CD) covers, so I put on bunny ears (a la Presto), and made Alex smile (and Geddy also!). Alex’s techinical crew applauded me. It was so awesome, knowing that I made Alex and Geddy smile. Not only was it the first time I ever got to see them live, but I was close enough to have a personal interaction with them. One ot my favorite memories (before children!). Thank you Alex, Geddy, and Neil, for the music that has been such a big part of the landscape of my life!
