Why Kylie Minogue should want to meet me
My disco needs her!
She’s been there all my youth years: beautiful, confident, always updated. And then she was gone for a few years…and suddenly in 2000 made her comeback.
She’s the proof of the invincinble power of will and determination, and symbolizes for me the very simple form of success.
I’d been out all night clubbing. At 9am I got a call to say that the engineer she was due to be recording with on an M People track was down with flu and could I please cover the session.
Kylie came in to do her vocal and nailed it in a single take. She was, unexpectedly, one of the most professional singers I’ve ever encountered.
I was quite tongue-tied, not least because she was dressed in a skimpy little sailor’s outfit, complete with crush-velvet hotpants and very long felt boots.
She was very friendy and unaffected, truly a rarity with pop stars of her commercial stature.
I’ve met Kylie at a film festival in Paddington, Sydney. She is lovely. Short, but gorgeous.
Hi, I’m Carl. If you want to read about my sad life, you can do it here
So, if you’ve visited it, now you know the situation and as you’ve probably guessed, I listen mostly Kylie’s songs. Because I think, it’s the best music to set me up for productive study and full life!
I used to live near Neighbours in melbourne when i was young and i met Kylie and Jason,Kyle was really nice and dte.
At high school (Camberwell High in Melbourne) back in the 80s, Kylie was a couple of years above me. She was nice at school but she used to hang out with the tough girls! :D She’s very different now. I think I still have a couple of yearbooks with her in them.
