A story about Bette Davis
Rumor has it that during filming of “What ever happened to baby jane” in which Bette starred opposite Joan Crawford, Bette Davis had a Coca Cola vending machine installed on the set. She did this just to irk Joan Crawford because Joan Crawford was married or had been married to a CEO of Pepsi and obviously couldn’t be seen drinking any soda other than Pepsi in public. In retaliation, Joan Crawford stuffed weights in her pockets during the scenes in which Bette Davis had to drag her around.
They were naughty women, but Bette Davis in particular—that’s why I love her and wish I could have had a cig with her!
