A story about Emeril Lagasse
I was at Emerill’s Tchop Chop restaurant at Universal Orlando right before it officially opened on a test night. Emerill was in the kitchen cooking and even came around to meet us. We also got some cookbooks signed.

I met him at a book signing and he was SO nice. He personalized my book (which they said he wouldn’t do) and talked to me for a minute about cooking. It was really cool!
Not much of a meeting, very brief, more of a hall-passing—but he was quite a gentleman and even more handsome in person. Very charismatic!
Em, my man, you are magnificent. You’re passionate to the nth degree. You think food should inspire all of your senses to really live. I love “kicking it up a notch” ! I use your recipes every week.
Because he is an excellent cook! And I love his recipes. I’d love to go to his show and taste his food.
