Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (October 2, 1869–January 30, 1948) was the spiritual and political leader of India who led the struggle for India’s independence from the British Empire.
Totally inspirational character.
Some of his core principles:
He is truly one of the most inspiring people ever to grace this planet.
I wonder what he’d have to say about the current goings-on worldwide?
He is missed.
He was a daring man, a truthful man, a man who can confess his guilt in front of thousands of people. That is what i honor in him
He was one of the very few men I have ever heard of that I can honestly say walked the walk, he lived what he believed. I honor any person who can do that. He was one of the best we have every had here on this earth. I would be proud to shake his hand if it were possible.
i want to meet mahatma cause i hav several questions which remain unanswered over a period of time. the most prominent of them is “DID MAHATMA VISUALIZE OUR NATION AS IT IS TODAY, IF NOT THEN WHAT WAS IT THAT HE SAW AND WHAT WOULD HE DO HE DO IF HE WAS A COMMON MAN LIKE ME IN TODAYS WORLD”
he changed the world.
just like i plan to one day.
he’s my inspiration. :]
I would to have met Ghandi for the same reason most other’s would have. He was an inspiring man with a brillant mind and the courage to stand up for what he believed in.
I feel like my concept of Gandhi was hijacked by the movie Gandhi. I believe he was a much greater man than the movie gives him credit for. The movie depicts him as a great man surely, and I’m sure Ben Kingsley is an extraordinary human being, but having him play the role of Gandhi has kind of confused my concept of Gandhi with Ben Kingsley’s personality. I say we see Gandhi as the great and powerful man that he was, and realize that while the Hollywood version was a good movie it may have simplified our conception of a this man who steered the lives of millions and changed the entire world.
