How I met Jon Voight
I was having lunch at Fresh Planet (a little place above the Whole Foods Market on 6th/Lamar in Austin, TX) when Mr. Voight plopped down into a seat one over from mine (we were dining at the bar). He was drinking carrot juice.
I recognized him, but wasn’t 100% it was, in fact, Jon Voight. When I was done, I got up, walked over to him and asked him kindly what his name was (being sure to be discreet). He didn’t hesitate. “My name’s Jon Voight. What’s your’s?”
We had a small convo on why he was in town (filming Varsity Blues) and thanked him for the opportunity to have the short chat and “meet” him.
