A story about Jim Carrey
Love! The man is a comedic genius, and so far every movie I have seen have been good. I realy like him when he play’s dark twisted charcters, he show’s his diversity, and that he’s not all jokes, he’s an actor!
The incredible genius of slap stick comedy. Started out on In Living Color and has made movies such as Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I won tickets to The Number 23 premiere through KROQ. I got to walk on the red carpet & everything (granted, it was brief & against the wall, but I was on it, and there were celebs—including Jim Carrey—& paparazzi!!), and the film was much more awesome than I thought it’d be. Then after the movie, I stayed past the credits & when I looked down from the 2nd level, I saw him again. I was the only one there, and when he looked up, he actually said something along the lines of “who’s up there?” & gestured a brief greeting to me. After that, I went downstairs, and after waiting for a couple minutes, I got his autograph. The dialog was something like this:
me: “Would you mind signing my… um, email?” (the best thing I had was the email printout from KROQ)
JC: smiles, says nothing & signs
me: (while he signs) “BTW, I thought the film was awesome… very trippy.”
JC: graciously continues smiling & hands me the autograph
So that was it. Nothing too extraordinary happened, but it was cool to have met him!!
Hes the Effin MAN! I love his movies and have been watching forever!!!
He’s hilarious. He can act out anything from the Grinch, to the Riddler, to the evil guy from Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events…who wouldnt wanna meet him
No one anywhere should need a ‘reason’ to meet him. Everyone should want to meet him. You hear me?!!? >:O
Okay, I just found out about the movie “The Number 23” yesterday. It’s the weirdest thing, because that number is EVERYWHERE in my life too, which is why it’s in my screenname here. I started noticing it back when I was merely 16…I moved to Sacramento to room with a friend on February 23rd, and we lived in apartment #23. When I moved out of there, it was into a mobile home in space #23. And it went on from there. Some recent examples include: my cellphone—it was purchased on the 23rd, the model number is V2300, and the last four digits of the phone number are 2387; also the girls I’ve dated—one’s favorite number was 23 because she was a Michael Jordan fan, one was a firefighter whose unit was 2300, and one’s birthday is on the 23rd. So yeah. (Oh, and I even found a 23 in a very old journal entry from when I was a kid—it was the amount I was paid for my most memorable babysitting experience.)
And now I find out that Jim Carrey is not only making a movie about someone with an obsession with this number, but he’s obsessed with the number himself in real life. He’s one of my favorite comedians as well. I’m such a hard-headed realist in general, and don’t believe in anything mystical, but I have to admit some coincidences are pretty damn weird.
i really admire Jim Carrey! He is a reallt talented actor and he doesn’t act like he is embarressed to do a funny scene or clip. He let’s his personality show and I think that is something we all need to do! So if Jim carrey is on give me holler!
