I met the lead singer of my all-time favorite band Glassjaw at a Warped Tour date in 2003. I simply went to the meet & greet, took some wretched “deer caught in headlights” photos and made a complete ass of myself. Well, of course. He was still extraordinarily nice and I totally thought he was going to be a dick. Amazingly so, even though Glassjaw is dead and my fading love of the new popscene he’s in front of, he’ll always be my hero and I’ll always strive to have the same calibur of writing.
