A story about Joe Nichols

Love Joe’s music. Hey girls… wasn’t Joe just awesome at the Lake Winnie concert?? and the fan club party and of course, my favorite place to listen to Joe.. The Grand Ole Opry. It just doesn’t get any better than listening to Joe sing Blues Man or I’ll Wait for You and of course She Only Smokes When She Drinks. I love his cover of the Buck Owens song Palm of Your Hand too. Love watching that Joemotion on his face !!!

A story about Joe Nichols

I went to one of Joe Nichols’ concerts and it was amazing!!! It was a small concert at Lake Winnie in I think Rossville GA!! He has the most amazing voice and he’s is so sweet and funny!!! The only bad thing about it was we didn’t get to meet him (tear)

A story about Joe Nichols

Driving from GA show to TN Joe Nichols pulled up beside my van on the highway. He wanted to say “Hi” and let me know that he liked what I had painted on the van windows. I had painted with window chalk “Joe Nichols or Bust” on one side, “Joexploders on Board” on the other and “Let’s go to Joe’s Place” on the back. I appreciate Joe’s acknowledgement, Thanks Joe!

A few days, I attended his fan club party and reminded him of the highway meeting as my daughters held up a “Joe-X-ploders” sign. He cracked up and we had a great laugh about it. Joe has an exellent sense of humor.

Here’s to Joe…OWE!!!

Joe Nichols Concert Review

by Marilyn Wigglesworth

The Sangamon County Fair featuring Joe Nichols was the eleventh Joe Nichols show that I have attended since February 2006. This rising country artist has developed a stage presence that draws audience participation as he shares not only his deep baritone voice, but his sense of humor and humorous facial expressions with his audience.

A story about Joe Nichols

First Georgia then Nashville….our Joe adventure….part 3

Another Joe Nichols Adventure

We were lucky enough to see Joe once more before heading home. We were lucky to get tickets to the Ryman Auditorium on Thursday June 8, 2006. Let me tell you what a treat this was indeed, walking in there you were in aw. The atmosphere was beautiful, the building was stunning. The stage, the balcony, the old pews, the memorabilia in glass casings was absolutely breathtaking. We were a little further back then previous shows but its not overly large in there, so there was not a bad seat to be had by any. All of the performances that evening were wonderful but I have to say seeing Joe on that stage was mesmerizing. His hauntingly traditional voice just seemed fitting for the Ryman. He performed Size Matters, Palm of My Hand by the late Buck Owens, his new single Ill Wait for You, and Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off. Joe and his band were absolutely spectacular and Im so honored to have been there to see him.

Our main reason for our trip was Joe Nichols and everything in between was a fortunate bonus. I have to say there is no other person I would have rather done this trip with then Sara. Sara I have been blessed to have found you my dear friend and traveling companion. We now also have Marilyn who has been added to our close friendship and we have Joe to thank for all.

Thank you Joe for touching so many of our lives.

Another Joe Nichols Adventure

Our next time seeing Joe Nichols was at the factory in Franklin Tennessee for his Fan Club Party on Tuesday June 6, 2006. Sara and I went with Marilyn and her daughters with Joexploders on board written on her van. Now theres a whole other story with the Joexploders van involving Marilyn and Joe on the highway going to Nashville from Georgia and Sara and I viewing the whole thing from my car just behind..anyway, lol.

Sara, Marilyn and I had once again been very fortunate with awesome seats infront of the stage second row of tables. We were met by many friends that weve been talking to on the boards, it was so nice to see them in person. Laurie, Fran, Heather, Diana, Debbie, Tamra, Annette and many more wonderful people. Thank you for a wonderful time and friendships. Joe performed many songs and took many requests and we also got to here some funny stories by fans and by Joe. He was just charming as always. One of the highlights of the evening for me was seeing Joe and Brian(his guitarist) perform Its Your Love a Tim McGraw and Faith Hill duet. Joe doing Tim and Brian doing Faith, they did a fantastic job!

Some of us fans collected money to have necklaces designed and made for Joe and his band members and Joes road manager Lonnie.thank you Nate. With a little bit of miscommunication we were unable to present it to everyone involved but we were able to give Joe and Lonnie theirs. The following evening we gave Scotty(his drummer) and Terry(his steel guitarist) theirs. They all loved them and that was the main thing.

We did get a M&G with Joe but I didnt get a picture with him this time(they had a photographer but I didnt like mine), Joe was so tired and I was near the end of the line(because of the gift we were giving him). I normally wouldnt ask for another autograph(have two) but I did for my daughter Jessica, she asked if I could. Joe was so sweet about it.Jessica and I thank you Joe.

It was a fabulous party, thank you Joe, the band and everyone else who was involved.

Another Joe Nichols Adventure

My friend Sara and I decided to go on another Joe adventure to Georgia and Nashville. We hadnt seen Joe since April 21st and 22nd in Harris MI. We traveled over 14 ½ hours on Saturday June 3, 2006 to Rossville GA. We were going to see Joe Nichols and his band on Sunday June 4, 2006 at the Lake Winnie fairgrounds for 2 shows.

Before the first show we met Marilyn and her daughters. Marilyn loves Joes music as much as we do and has joined us in promoting him for sometime now. It was a pleasure to meet her in person and it was like having a reunion with an old friend.

We were lucky enough to have great seats for both shows.but then again theres no bad seat when seeing Joe.

Joe Nichols was awesome as always and infact I believe he sounds better and better everytime I hear him.if thats at all possible. His voice is so rich and amazing and he pours his heart into every song. Joe and his band really know how to get the crowd involved and what a fun time had by all. We tend to meet people at every show that never really knew who Joe was but always leave a new fan and we always leave with more new friends.
