Why I want to meet Jesus of Nazareth
He saved my life.
An amazing man with open-minded ideas for his time, and he claimed that he is the one and only son of God. He died so others could live.
When Jesus gave the parables of the kingdom, that were recorded by Matthew, Jesus was not only teaching practical lessons for his disciples, but also outlining the whole of the Bible.
I MET HIM IN A PUB IN LANCASHIRE…IT WAS A PARTY IN THE LOST AND FOUND FOR THE MYRIAD EXCUSES THAT PASS FOR THE GODS….....WE GOT DRU NK AND MADE A BED OF DEAD GOBLINS….WHEN THE LAST OF THE ALCOHOL AND RED-WHITE-SPOTTY MUSHROOMS RAN OUT JESUS TURNED INTO A BLUE-FOUR-SIDED TRIANGLE AND VANISHED….. :)
Jesus of Nazareth was a historical figure of immense proportions. Some people believe he was the son of God. I seriously do not know if I can believe that totally, other than he was a child of God just like everybody else is (which is what I think he meant by referring to God as ‘father’), but he was definitely an enlightened man with vastly different ideas for his time, and I do believe his ideas as they are reported in the 2000 years since his death to be great and peace-making ideas.
I’d like to meet him one-on-one to seriously ask him whether or not he is amused by the pedestal he has been placed on, and if he really is in fact the son of God, or if, as I suspect, people have gotten the wrong picture all these years.
