Bic Runga (placeholder)

I met Bic Runga twice. I interviewed her when ‘Beautiful Collison’ came out at sony records in london. Bic had done inteviews all day, so we ended up going for a walk and went and did the interview in a local cafe bar she liked. She was really sweet, but didn’t like talking about herself.. She was more into talking about things in general.

the second time was earlier this year a few months before ‘birds’ was released and on the eve of her special gig at lock 17 in london. I went to her hotel and the first thing she said was ’ I remember you” which made things really easy to talk to her about new things in her life and the lp, which is flawless. and a must have.. I’m very lucky to met such lovely and talented people, esp as I adore their books, films and music so much.

I would love to meet Bic Runga. She’s such a talented singer!

Album signing. She was at the CD store in Christchurch, New Zealand and I turned up there with 2 singles and bought her newly released album Drive on the spot. She signed the for me, I got my picture taken (I have no idea where it is now) and I went on my merry way. This was in 1998 I think…
