A story about Elphaba, "Wicked Witch of the West"

While I love the musical, the Elphie from the book is really closest to my heart. There is a very strong side to me that is, quintessentially, Elphaba. I think that’s probably true for many people. For me, it’s the part of me that needed a lot of love and care – that didn’t get what they needed, and had to become something sustainable in order to survive.

A story about Elphaba, "Wicked Witch of the West"

Many times in my life I have heard that “right before you die, your life flashes before you and you will see the things that made a great impact on your life.” I am prepared to see some pretty phenomenal sights/people/places on that day. Most of my memories would visualize from family and friends but I am sure that I would also see a witch. After all she has taught me more about life than I could ever imagine.
If you ever get a chance to go see wicked I would really recommend it because it will rock a part of you that we as human beings have let settle. It reminds us of who we really are and why we have opted to dance through life with a mask on. It speaks of remarkable friendships and defines the indefinable notion of love. It explains why we as a human race are so enticed with true friendship … because it’s the closest thing we have to magic.
